Some musical partnerships are built on precision, others on intuition. Warren & Flick thrive on both, shaping sound through craft and deep listening. Their collaboration reflects the heart of Honeywell Arts Academy, where artists gather not only to perform but to explore what music can become.

From its home base in Wabash, Indiana, Honeywell Arts Academy cultivates collaboration among musicians from around the world. One of its summer programs, Resonance, brings together multifaceted artists to explore the intersections of genre, performance, and purpose. Within this creative environment, artists like Warren & Flick create performances that balance tradition, improvisation, and originality. They offer audiences a captivating evening of Americana, bluegrass, and folk, blending violin, guitar, and storytelling into an unforgettable acoustic experience.
With Jacob Warren on double bass and tenor bass, and Grant Flick on violin, tenor guitar, and nyckelharpa, Warren & Flick blend original compositions and improvisation, drawing on influences from classical, jazz, and folk traditions. The two first met in 2015 at the Acoustic Music Seminar, a program of the Savannah Music Festival, where their shared musical approach sparked the partnership they continue today.

Warren & Flick’s music has evolved across several projects. Their debut album, Kestrel (2019), introduced their sound; Waxwing (2022) highlighted their growing ensemble work; and their latest project, Cormorant (2025), continues that progression. Offstage, they publish sheet music for their compositions, allowing other musicians to engage with their repertoire and reinforcing their commitment to collaboration and shared music-making.
Honeywell Arts Academy is comprised of a summer intensive program and year-round support for emerging musicians: Wabass for double bass musicians; Soundboard for pianists; and Resonance for multifaceted musicians. Led by Artistic Director Ranaan Meyer of the GRAMMY and Emmy award-winning group Time for Three and world-renowned faculty, the summer program culminates in live performances featuring participants and faculty. The Academy is designed to provide the future generation of musicians with the opportunity to learn from one another, push boundaries, and connect with both local and industry communities, with faculty propelling their artistry forward and springboarding their careers.
“Warren & Flick embody the Academy’s mission,” says Meyer. “Their music, built on listening and shared exploration, reflects the collaborative spirit that defines our artists.”
This commitment extends into their work with students. Through workshops and clinics, Warren & Flick encourage young musicians to build confidence through improvisation, ear training, and traditions often overlooked in standard music programs. Their educational philosophy mirrors the Academy’s philosophy of the “sharing of knowledge,” an inclusive and supportive environment where ideas are free-flowing between all, creating a revolving door of expertise.
Now in its second season, the Honeywell Arts Academy Concert Series, with sponsorship from First Farmers Bank & Trust, continues to share this mission with audiences in both Indianapolis and Wabash. This music series carries the torch of Richard Ford, a 40-year Columbian, alongside Harry Halloran, whose shared passion for great music and young talent helped spark the founding of Honeywell Arts Academy. Through these intimate performances, audiences experience connection, creativity, and community as it unfolds in real time.
Experience Warren & Flick live at the Eagles Theatre in Wabash on Wednesday, April 29, and at the Columbia Club in Indianapolis on Thursday, April 30, and witness the acoustic storytelling that has shaped their evolving artistry.
Join us in Wabash for the Academy’s summer performances and enjoy the Honeywell Arts Academy Concert Series through June 2026.
